Entertaining and enlighteningDecember 1, 2008 This book is very entertaining to see just how bad fast food and other restaraunt's food is. You can finish reading this book in about an hour though, and then it's practical use is over. Buy this if you want a one-time eye opener and awe-factor to the reality of eating out. If you are looking for a tool to help lose weight, I suggest the complete calorie guides by Calorie King and Biggest loser. They are small enough to fit in the car or purse and have comprehensive lists of the foods at different eateries. Eat this...Not that only has about 4 items per restaraunt to compare with. It is very entertaining though.
Eat This Not ThatDecember 1, 2008 I was amazed with some of the selections from this book. I assumed I knew what to eat, and found out I didn't. The book is very helpful.
InformativeDecember 1, 2008 This book is not your average story book, no this informative book helps on what is okay to eat and whats not, it does come to some surprise on certain things you may think is right for you until you read this book, in my opinion its quiet helpful and quiet useful, it even helps with certian things your kids could and should not eat, overall its a good and handy book to have.

Things you didn't know you didn't knowNovember 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This simple little book is something you could read in an hour, but the information in it is priceless. David Zinczenko has reviewed hundreds of restaurants and rated their burgers, salads abd sandwiches for nutritional content and calories, then tells you the best bang for your buck. His simple substitutions can save you hundreds of calories a week and leave you scratching your head, thinking, "how is this burger THAT much fattier than that one when they have all the same ingredients?"
He also has the same information for Halloween candy, typical Thanksgiving fare, and of course there is the all-important two-page spread comparing coffees and other beverages from chains like Starbucks, Dunkies and others, rating them for caffeine and sugar.
If you like to go out to eat but are at all conscious of your health, this book is worth the small amount of time it takes to flip through it.
