Comprehensive listing of problems (and possible solutions) in Washington DC and beyondOctober 29, 2008 4 out of 8 found this review helpful
Dick Morris and Eileen McGann have written this book which expounds upon issues the media seem to miss or underreport. But before you think this is a partisan book (or review for that matter), I can assure you it is not. Fleeced goes into some very good detail outlining problems, solutions and authors' opinions.
This book will probably make you angry insofar as what our elected officials do (or don't do) on a daily basis.
Simply stated, most of the "1 or 2 star" reviews of the book appear to come from highly polarized individuals that, in my opinion, didn't read the book fully. I firmly believe that had they read the entire book, they wouldn't be able to draw a conclusion as to the politics of the authors (and as such, wouldn't necessarily be so critical in their review).
I recommend the book for two reasons: 1. There is insight to what we cannot know regarding Washington politics (we are not insiders like Dick Morris is) 2. It is non-partisan and should equally anger Dems and Repubs.
Great book!

Excellent exposure to our current financial crisis and what an Democratic congress will do to ruin our nation. Obama is not what the media has told us.
This book may have anticipated the really Big Fleece yet to comeOctober 17, 2008 1 out of 7 found this review helpful
Many different kinds of fleeces are documented. All the way from infoUSA and Bill Clinton to Halliburton (with a possible Dick Cheney connection). The really big fleece is discussed on page 20 where the authors seem to have anticipated the beginning of the biggest "fleece" we might see in a life time: "Obama's capital gains tax increase might well trigger a stock market crash and devastate the already slumping real estate industry." This has now occurred before Obama's tax increase. If Obama in this situation gets into the White House and does govern like a left-winger as the authors expect him to, he will impose the tax increase, which will make the recession deeper and longer still (the possibility of depression cannot be ruled out). The other outrageous fleeces combined, in comparison, might fade into insignificance.
fleeced, read itOctober 12, 2008 3 out of 7 found this review helpful
I listened to the audio version of this book. It is so filled with facts that is was difficult to listen to. It almost became information overload. Looking back, I wish that I had gotten a copy of the print version of the book and then read a section at a time.
It is amazing at all the facts that Morris assembled for this. He hammers the right and the left.

Everyone should read this well written book. It is highly enlightening! People need to wake up, get educated. We are so much like a bunch of dung beetles, keeping our noses to the ground and rolling, rolling the ball not really knowing anything more than our own little pile of dung! I am grateful to people like Dick Morris for putting in the time and effort to educate us all!
