I taught this book to my 8th graders last year and I was delighted with its combination of clarity and detail. It's sometimes hard to find biography geared to middle school, but this book is perfect. Its pictures and text communicate to young people what motivated Gandhi and got to the heart of what made this geat man tick.Also, it's a good idea to teach young people what and who motivated Martin Luther King,Jr. I just wish it was available in paperback.
