Reading this book was like a breath of fresh air. It inspired me in so many ways, and reminded me of why I chose this religion in the first place. Ellen's humour and charm shines through the pages, and tells you that this woman not only knows her stuff, but also truly enjoys passing her knowledge to others. I always enjoy Ellen's books, but this one is definitely my favorite.

She has delivered another excellent book. Ellen really knows her stuff. This is a "must have" for anyone in the Pagan community.

This wonderful book reminds me that it is all about the magick of connection. It is all about connecting to a book and author that puts into words the way that you feel--as if it were written for you or even about you. It is all about connecting to nature that defines your self and your universe. It is all about connecting to your heart to know what is true and right for you. It is all about connecting to others that are like-minded.
I had already learned from her previous books (one of my favorites is Cottage Witchery: Natural Magick for Hearth and Home) that with Ellen Dugan's down to earth style and infectuous sense of humor, what better way to connect, especially in the case of natural Witchery! The very first time that I laid my eyes on this book, I did not at first see whom the author was, for I would have been swayed to feel this book would be for me anyway, but instead, I found the cover pleasing. Forget the saying that you can't judge a book by its cover in this instance, for the magickal cover enchanted me through the lovely red-haired lady dressed in green surrounded by leaves. The words in the title were just what I had been looking for in the thousands of books at the metaphysical shops and here on Amazon--"Natural Witchery; Intuitive, Personal & Practical Magick". One quick skim through the book at my fave little shop, left me nearly skipping out the door after my purchase, with book hugged close to my heart. :)
Through Dugan's anectdotes and personal knowledge this book provides a means as a learning tool for the person who is searching for their authentic self--whether it be a Witch, Wiccan, or Pagan, or anybody who may be testing the waters along their spiritual path. This book helps you to decide if you are a natural Witch by defining the term and allowing you to see if you connect to that path.
The book consists of the following 8 chapters: Chapter 1 - The Natural Witch And Intuition Chapter 2 - The Psychic Cycles Of The Moon Chapter 3 - Personal Power Chapter 4 - Personal Magickal Developement Chapter 5 - Starting A Circle Chapter 6 - Practical Magick: Living The Life Of A Natural Witch Chapter 7 - Witchery At Work Chapter 8 - Spirituality And Personal Advancement

There are several areas in the book that are my favorites, such as the guide through lighting up your chakras, the quizes for discovering your psychic abilities and how to incorporate them into your magick, the entire chapter of The Psychic Cycles of the Moon, starting a circle inspired me to start my own, the Witchery at Work chapter, the Book of Witchery, the quotes throughout the book, and her blessing at the end of the book:
"Many blessings on your spells and charms. May you walk your chosen path wisely, And never cause any harm."
Dugan covers so much through her book in her very practical fashion, in a very natural way! Connect and enjoy!

I absolutely LOVE Mrs. Dugan's writting style. She is witty, personal, serious, and has a fantastic sense of humor! Not only in this book Natural Witchery, but all of the books I have read from her. I love the fact that she weaves her personal stories and experiences into her books.
Natural Witchery: Intuitive, Personal & Practical Magick is a great book to start with for those researching and wanting to learn more about the subject. It is written in a style that anyone can comprehend and probably relate to.
