No BS marketing to the affluentNovember 23, 2008 a real eye opener. I'm impressed with how well read Dan Kennedy is. He's blunt and doesn't mince words.
"Must know" information for tough economic timesNovember 15, 2008 I attended my first Dan Kennedy event this past weekend in St. Louis and was very impressed with the content of the information and his business philosophy. I picked up the book, No B.S. Marketing to the Affluent: The No Holds Barred, Kick Butt, Take No Prisoners Guide to Getting Really Rich for two reasons. One, I wanted to learn more about marketing and selling to the Affluent. Even in tough times the affluent have money and if one wants to thrive in the recession that has already started in the United States you need to position yourself with the affluent. The book provids a wealth of information in this area.
A second reason I wanted to read the book was to learn more about Dan Kennedy's business methods. I was intrigued with what I learned at the seminar. In fact, I am repositioning and redoing my websites and my business model based on the information gleaned from him during that event. I wanted to learn more because I do see his "philosophy" as profit generating.
The book did not disappoint. I finished the book on my flight back home and found myself taking notes in almost every chapter. I found the book well researched and informative. I like Kennedy's style of writing and brash emphasis on presenting reality instead of some politically correct drivel that makes you feel good without adding to your bottom line.
If you are in business or thinking about getting into business you need to read this book. I plan on reading the rest of the No B.S. guides Dan Kennedy has written and then to move on to the audio programs, taking care to implement what I have learned. There is money in these books. One only has to look for it.
NO BS Marketing of selfOctober 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Some useful information, but basically a teaser about joining Dan's inner circle. Nothing solid to walk away with or to implement.
Must Have for Every EntrepreneurOctober 21, 2008 Whehter you sell widgets or services -- you MUST read this book. It's not another "get rich quick" or "change your mindset and the money will follow" book. This book, by the No BS king - Dan S. Kennedy is a wake-up call for everyone who wants to thrive in the business of their choice.
There are facts and figures to back-up the premise laid out -- and the affluent are easier to find than you may think. The key is - how do you affluentize your product or service? Kennedy is his consummate no-holds-barred best in this book. You MUST read it (and listen to the accompanying CD) if you intend to do business in the 21st Century!
Kennedy Really Shines This TimeSeptember 29, 2008 This is the best thing I have read by Dan Kennedy.
He is clearly passionate about Marketing To The Affluent and it comes through in his writing here - it is enthusiastic and brisk.
A really fine book about how to sell stuff to people who have the money to buy it. Why would you want to do anything else?
Yet few businesses are engineered from the ground up to sell affluent people what they want to buy. This book is full of insights and ideas that can help you shift the focus of your business to getting your money from the people who have most of it.
