5 out of 5 stars Great Book   July 24, 2008
My daughter really likes this book. It opens her up to think about what she would do in some sticky social situations (sticky for a Tween anyway). It has also inspired some really nice discussions between us about how she would handle herself and her feelings. Good book to have.

5 out of 5 stars Great Book to Encourage Good Mental Health Growing Up!   April 29, 2008

The Truth: I'm a Girl, I'm Smart and I Know EverythingAs a Positive Psychologist and author myself of a book designed to help girls grow up with a strong sense of self and the courage to be the best they can be, I am always delighted to find books also written to help girls feel successful about all sorts of subjects, even tricky familiy issues. This book does a great job of helping girls reflect on some possible solutions for difficult yet common social issues growing up. I also like that real girls share their ideas for solving the problems. This is a great book to have at home for your daughter to look at when the 'heat' builds in family or friendship problems.

5 out of 5 stars My Step Daughter Loved it!!!   April 28, 2008
I got this book for my 12 years old step daughter and she loved it...I noticed its hard for her to communicate with us and being that our marriage is new to her and the possibility of having a little brother and sister someday is making her worried that she will no longer be the only child, a book about different scenarios on expressing feelings seemed perfect...She took a few quizzes and before we knew it she was sitting down with us to read a few and discuss why she would choose to feel that way...THANKS AMERICAN GIRL this book is great!!!

5 out of 5 stars 10 yr old daughter enjoyed   March 26, 2008

This is a great book for young girls. My 10 yr old daughter really enjoyed reading it and making choices (in the book). It gives so many scenarios that young girls may encounter. It is a book that causes girls to think about their actions - or potential actions - and the effects of such. This book was also a launching pad for conversation between me and my daughter. Definitely recommend!

5 out of 5 stars Cute, creative decision making tool!   February 12, 2008

This is another of American Girl's valuable series of books to help our daughters get through the trials and tribulations of growing up with a little more fun along the way.

Cute illustrations underscore family matters, decision making and other issues that young readers face every day. The world is changing every day, and challenges can become comples even for tweens. No matter what those issues might be, this book is a good start to making good choices and a gateway to family discussion.

What Would You Do? is bound to become a favorite in your family library, and I highly recommend it.
