5 out of 5 stars "Baah! He's crazy", Wait!! Read for yourself   March 7, 2006

Jeepers all these people are so eager to write long winded reviews to discredit this book and write this off as spooklore. Notice how these reviewers are very spiteful, like they hate David personally. This alone will make me read the book from start to finish. If it causes this much of a wave then its gotta be good. Ignore the hype, sit, read, and judge for yourself. The first chapter alone is something to think about. This David guy must've done alot of research.

4 out of 5 stars Very informative for enlightment.   February 17, 2006

A very informative book, but not exactly perfection to the last degree. Hence, the 4 stars. I would have given it 4 and a half or 9/10 if we had a more accurate rating system.

I spent 2 entire weeks to finish up on this book. Overall I have learnt a lot about the world as we know it, also the hidden factors we have deprived to acknowledge its existence. This allows myself to open my eyes and realise what possibly may be going on as Icke describes. I still cannot say the book provides fully hardcore evidences to say for sure those things are happening. But in terms of how much information a written text can provide, it really does its part. You just need to read this book with an open mind, and ready to consider what could be possible. Otherwise, sceptics really should forget about touching Icke's works.

Icke, in this book, does detailed summaries of practically everything that we need to know throughout the history of humanity until the present day to give his readers a basic view of the story. He really has done quite a lot of research to acquire all these detail and I respect him for that. Various stories in the book covers how exterrestials created the first humans, why religion is created, the reptilian agenda, wars, the inner-earth, government conspiracies, even up to Princess Diana's death, and many more. Of course, this gives us good insight in a bit of everything. I have gathered an interest in a few of these topics and I now want to take part in some extra research to know about some of the particular stories into further detail.

The drawback of the book are the boring bits where I really had to skip over some unreadable parts. One example is the continual fruitless efforts in describing bloodlines which I thought was unnecessary.

This is a very good book if you want to learn the truth. Nothing but the dark truth.

1 out of 5 stars A book for the open-minded   February 11, 2006

The author, Mr. Icke, brought his amusing and entertaining dog and pony show up here to the Great White North a couple of years ago.

His audience was so open-minded that in many cases their brains had fallen out.

File this one under RAVINGS.

1 out of 5 stars The biggest nut! The book that will give the world a laughing Fit..   February 6, 2006

This book by David Icke ,truly makes interesting reading if you pretend it is science fiction. Unfortunately, this man is so paranoid that he makes outrageous claims based on absolutely no evidence and repeatedly insists that it is the truth. Some of the facts he claims are
1. Whites are people come from Mars.
2. All (ALL) of the powerful people in the world today , the presidents , the royal families, and the rich idustrialists are not human but are reptilian descendants of Dinosaurs.
3.Former president George Bush (he accuses many others as well) is a paedophile and a serial killer.( and I thought the worst thing he ever did was to father W. Bush)
Reading this book reminded me of another book "The chariot of the Gods".This book has borrowed many premises from it, but while the former was actually researched(though it too was incredible), this book's author makes claims out of thin air. Even more irritating is the fact that he keeps chiding the reader for being conditioned and not being ready to face the truth!!
He keeps saying " my research indicates..." when the only research he appears to have done is to interview nuts.
On the plus side ,it is imaginatively written and it could be used for case studies of paranoia. And if you don't like Sir Richard Dawkins, you could send him a copy , he'll surely commit suicide.

2 out of 5 stars Flawed   November 3, 2005

David Icke is well known as a controversial "conspiracy researcher" who fearlessly treads where others fail to enter, or so they say. In reality, David Icke is a well known disinformer whose purpose is to mislead, confuse and discredit official research by proposing alternative theories that are distinctly different. This is a tool widely used by intelligent agencies in order to contain information leaks. Having said that, one is not certain if David Icke is an intelligence operative or just plain misguided.

Keeping the above in mind, one can only approach this book from a point of critical scepticism. Many of the facts in this book are somewhat valid but are deliberately misleading and sometimes completely unsubstantiated. No surprise here - Mr Icke is trying to mislead by way of spoonfeeding.

The real danger with this book is its hypnotic tone. The book does attack ones worldview and sensibility if read deeply since many people react emotionally and out of fear when confronted with something totally foreign to them. The conditioned mindset of many individuals will indeed be shattered by this book - not a recommended course of action for those who are already unstable mentally.

I can only give this book two stars. The grammar in this book is terrible and the publication as a whole feels like an early draft that was let loose too soon.
