Believable and disturbingDecember 23, 2007 I found Raechel's Eyes believable and disturbing; believable because there has been for some time, enough literature regarding our government's involvement with an alien race at S4 in Area 51 to see it as believable; and disturbing because the personal experiences of Helen and Raechel bring the UFO and alien phenomenon to a new and scary place.
If the story takes place as stated, in the very early 1970's, about humans in our government experimenting with placing Zeta hybrids among us on Earth--to see if they can fit in--how far along are they now--38 years later?
Raechel was one such failed experiment in the so-called Humanization Project. If this program has continued to this day, of aliens using humans without their conscious consent to make genetically engineered hybrids for re-insertion into our society--what are the ramifications and implications? What happens to the hybrid when it is unable to perform adequately? What of the ethical issues, etc.?
I consider Raechel's Eyes one of the most important books in this genre. The public should be made aware. The book is believable to me because it is a logical step in UFO and alien progression --a step beyond the story in The Artist and the Alien by Dena Blatt, which takes place during the same time as Raechel's Eyes. It tells the true story of the artist Shirle Klein-Carsh and her two year platonic relationship with an altruistic extraterrestrial from Sirius, living and working among us (in a second-hand store, as a front). So if extraterrestrials were already among us for some time, and abductions and genetic manipulations for hybrids were also being done-- why would there not be hybrids among us?
Raechel's Eyes must have been a difficult one to write, and I commend Helen Littrell (host mother and mother) having experienced so much, for her bravery and moral strength throughout; Jean Bilodeaux for the hard work of trying to document such a complicated story--and for both as they tell the story with warmth and caring. Though hard to follow in parts, on the whole it is well written, loaded with information and a "must read".
They are amoung usJanuary 19, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
If you wonder why aliens visit earth, why they are here, does our government know, and why are we not better informed; then read this book. I enjoyed the first half of this book and was awed and shocked and educated and mesmerized through it all. The second half moved slowly discussing the clinical hypnosis and the discovery process that lead to all the information in the first part. I think the second half could be condensed a great deal. The first half is such riviting information that you simply must get your hands on this book. My heart goes out to Raechel and her attempt at blending with humans. She is clearly a fish out of water and innocent. Seeing our world through her eyes is unearthing enough and at the end you believe this happened. My heart felt thanks goes to the Mother who had nerves of steel and the courage to bring this information forward. Even if you don't believe aliens are amoung us, this book is going to stretch your mind and your perception.
to much timeApril 7, 2006 3 out of 26 found this review helpful
those who write books like these have to much time on their hands and those who believe such nonsense are seriously disturbed or are in deep psychological conflict. Parents who insist that their children are alien beings with special powers are unable to confront the fact that their child has a psychotic or borderline personality disorder.
A book of courage....January 28, 2006 8 out of 16 found this review helpful
A spellbinding book! It took a great deal of courage for Ms. Luttrell to share her story. I have absolutely no doubts of the reality of her experiences. I have witnessed many of the events Ms. Luttrell shares. I found her story well-written and very easy to follow. It isn't easy formulating a story line behind these kinds of unique experiences.
It is indeed the time in human history to bring forward the truth of the reality of the Humanization Project as well as that of the origins of the human species to the public. Helen has given me the courage to tell my "Tales of a Wanderer" and share in the attempts to bring the truth and beauty of our off-world heritage and the future evolvement of this new and wonderful species called "human" to those of earth's population whose memories lie hidden and to those who doubt this wondrous history. It is an awesome realization and Helen's positive approach to this next phase in human evolvement is applauded.
After reading other reviews of this book I must add that while there were some aspects of the book I question (MIB), I have to say that after experiencing and seeing what I have with regard to secret underground bases, off-world beings and involvement in some of the projects Helen talks about, I cannot be skeptical. It is easy to be a skeptic until it happens to you!

Extremely disturbingOctober 24, 2005 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
Though I found this book extremely fascinating, nor do I doubt the authenticity of the authors claims, I found the implications of this book extremely disturbing. The writing, though somewhat amatureish and overly concerned with every detail, is besides the point. Why are hybrids being created? What purpose do they serve? Do we truly understand the motivations of these ETs? How can we possibly trust a species which has bred emotions out of themselves, as is stated by one of the alien/hybrid scientists? I find this truly distrubing. Am I the only one who can see this? I believe that everyone in this story is being manipulated on some level, including the hybrid, despite the even-handed tone of the book. Can the author not see that her own compassion and kindness can be used against her? If these ETs are so advanced why do they need us? Could it be that they are caught in a evolutionary cul-de-sac as a result of over-genetic manipulation? If one cannot feel fear, anger, happiness, how is one able to understand what is really happening? Is this the future of humanity, a bunch of fetus looking organic robots? Why is this being hidden from us? I dont ever remember the public being asked if this was alright or if it is even ethical. Did these aliens ever ask permission, and if it was granted by the goverment, why are we still not being told? Does this goverment truly represent the will of the people? I don't think so. I think this situation is out of control and is out of the goverments hands. Why do we need to be integrating aliens into our society when we cannot even get along with one another? Who is truly the more advanced species? Us messy humans, or these ETs who have genetically over-extended themselves? What is happening is wrong on so many levels, yet is presented to us as something that is perfectly normal and OK. I think the big question here is "Who is in control?"
