Armaggedon and prophesies of the return May 12, 2007 3 out of 8 found this review helpful
A very intriguing and exiting book. A very new perspective and interpretation of events we all know.
Zecharia does it again May 12, 2007 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
A must read for anyone who has any doubts of the origin of human civilization by extraterrestrial intervention since Zecharia Sitchin's first book written in 1976 "the 12th planet". This is not the typical doom and gloom bible prophecy kind of book. This book is based on actual world catastrophic events recorded throughout history by the ancient sumerians; translated by world renowned scholar Zechaira Sitchin. Excellent read.
As good as expected... May 9, 2007 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
This new book by Sitchin is as good as it's expected be, judging by the previous ones. Though the author steers away from outright prophecies and cathegoric predictions, he still provides the pessimists with a ray of hope for the worst... At the beginning Sitchin summarizes the ideas of his previous books and then he tries to extrapolate the history onto the future by employing a cyclic model. There are some new ideas and theories in the book, for example, Sithchin shows that the Jewish Elohim (The LORD) and the Moslem Allah are in fact 2 different deities, to the contrary of the opinion of many (and my own too) and the ony common thing between them is that both 'Elohim' and 'Allah' words have the same Semitic root. Who would guess...
The Ultimate in Earthly & Spiritual Scholarship!! April 26, 2007 48 out of 58 found this review helpful
I wrote a paper in high school on the cyclical nature of history and my teacher in advanced english gave me an A+ but commented that she had never heard of the theory before!! Well, now it is well enunciated in Mr. Sitchin's encyclopedic newest Summary-type book about the cosmos!!! And, what's more astounding, the "ancients" KNEW OF these things!! HOW DID THEY KNOW?? Well, you can get the full story from this well-documented and thorough book about our ancient history and how it is winding up into the present/close future. Why we don't learn more about these ancient Egyptian, Sumerian and Indian texts in school is a sad commentary on our current cultural/spiritual tunnel vision. Those ancient people knew of all the known planets in our current solar system.!!!! HOW DID THEY KNOW THIS?? - and the medieval church didn't have a clue!!(Is that because they burnt many books in Alexandria, considering the info heretical??) This is the Best scholarly AND entertaining book out in a long time other that Steven Greer's latest!!! The "Ancients" and the "End Times" are probably coming soon, and you should know something about them before they arrive undeniably . . .
***** The Mega-Genius Speaks on 2012 and Beyond ***** April 20, 2007 18 out of 37 found this review helpful
Without a doubt, this is a marvelous work and a wonder! This is scholarship at its highest level of perfection from a master teacher; but do I think this is the final word on 2012, or anything else ... maybe. Nonetheless, I'd still challenge this wise one to a battle of wits any day, any place. There is something lacking in these reams of facts he spouts that has always bothered me. This arrogant man's musings on the cosmos lacks a major source of data; it is heartfelt truth! It is as if he also dots every "i" and crosses every "T" for the wrong reasons, so that God will bow down and say "Thank you, Mr. Sitchin." In short, at this late stage of the game, a bit of humility would go a long way towards bolstering the credibility of this genius with those of us that also walk this road less travelled.
