I met Tanis recently at a writers festival in Powell River and I was immediately drawn to read this book, and I am glad I did. Though some might scoff, I think her descriptions portray real events that took place in the astral interface. For example, I have never heard of anyone having a bath with a leprechaun before ...
I think if you are interested in elementals or astral beings and their interactions with humanity, you should read this book.
And for those of you who might think that this is nothing more than a work of imagination, you might also want to consider the role of the imagination as a bridge, rather than as an escape from what you think is reality.
Highly recommended.
Adventures in Joyful LearningNovember 5, 2008 This is supposedly a true story, which pretend to educate the reader into the acceptance of elementals through a higher understanding of their nature and their significance to humans.
The original intention of this narration is try building a bridge between humans on one hand and elementals on the other (Leprechauns, gnomes, fairies, goblins, nymphs, trolls, and elves who share earth with humans) and to shed some light regarding the life style of such creatures.
She is apparently psychic, and therefore able to perceive the presence of elementals, ghosts, Masters and other beings of the universe.
The author says that while on a summer vacation on the countryside of Ireland she was faced with a friendly Leprechaun who happened to dwell in her rented summer cottage.
Eventually she and the Leprechaun agreed she must publish in ten years time or 1995 a book concerning all their weird and wonderful experiences and conversations at the cottage, her adventures, her initiations and the wise words of hers and other leprechauns.
Although written in 1995, narrating events that transpired in 1985, this book is a fantastic account that naturally stir up emotional growth on whoever reads it with a receptive attitude.

Fantastic book! Extremely enjoyable read and important information and insights revealed for relating to the elemental world! It is a book you can read again and again and receive more layers of understanding. I gave copies and recommended this book to all my friends! I loved it! Wonderful!

A book about Leprechauns...
I never thought this would interest me. Yet, it not only interested me, it BLEW me away...:)
I loved the story behind it. This is one of my top books I would recommend. It is fun yet very enlightening. IT discusses the realms of the elementals in such an enjoyable light.
A great book, I doubt you would be disappointed.

This is my first review without reading the book, but I felt compelled to comment. Many people who have written reviews here take this account as a "true" story . . . or is it??? Anyone who has studied Irish folklore (as I have) knows that leprechauns are SOLITARY faeries (they live by themselves in secluded places), EXCLUSIVELY masculine, and are far from friendly to any hapless mortal who crosses their path. Does the author confuse those nasty leprechauns with the more amenable Sidhe? I'm not going to bother reading the book to find out. I'll just continue looking for a more well-researched volume that does not target gullible readers.
