This was a thought provoking book. Easy to read and understand. I recommend it for those that believe and those who don't.
Comprehensive and interesting readJuly 9, 2008 I have read all of James' books and feel he is the genuine thing and far more knowledgeable than some of the other popular authors out there that write information about the other side. This book was a quick read and contained a lot of material regarding Spiritualist beliefs along with personalized experiences and stories from James. However, after reading his other books, to me, it was mostly a duplication of material. It was also geared more to those who have no background, experience, or belief about the other side. If you have been in the field for years, it may be a waste of time, that is not said with any disrespect for this wonderfully sincere man. I will pass the book on to an elderly aunt who has only sporadically dabbled in this type of reading.

I like the work of James Van Praagh and appreciate his commitment to provide the reader with such an important knowledge of the world beyond the physical. If you'd like to know more on how these forces affect the living and how protect/purify/heal your surroundings, I suggest

Very ConvincingJuly 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
James' books are always intriguing and comforting, and this one builds on his experiences in very revealing circumstances. It's fascinating to read of his gift, and I like that he always ends with suggestions about how to develop your own intuition and skills. The overall message in Ghosts Among Us is that we are not separate from our lost loved ones, even if we don't physically see them. And James'explanations seem to assure us of eternal love among family and friends.
Great Inspiration and ComfortJuly 6, 2008 June 25th 2008 made 2 years my Mom has been gone. After reading this book I am totally convinced that she's ok and there really on no such thing as "Death". Thank you James. Mike Dias, Taunton MA.
