If you "get it" it's powerful and life changingJanuary 3, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Like many of the reviewers I've read most the Seth books. But, unlike many other Magical Approach reviewers this is one of my favorites and, in my opinion, one the most powerful Seth books. What is interesting is that I really had to put a lot of thought into the message to fully understand it, but once I did it had a major impact on my life and the way I see things. In a nutshell Seth helps us see how we reach our goals in life and what work needs to be done by us vs. what work is "done for us" by the universe. Our job in this life is to know what we want and to keep focused on the ideal outcome. We don't have to worry about the thousands of details that might go into accomplishing our particular vision, especially all the things that might go wrong. Another key part of our work is to enjoy the moments of our life as they unfold. And we can in fact do this because we are getting assistance. On a totally pragmatic level this book has had a major impact on my peace of mind. I do not worry nearly as much as I used to and have much more faith that what I desire will manifest if I simply keep my mind on it, trust my intuition and enjoy the moments. This is a wonderful knowing. And, best of all, my dreams are materializing, it's just easier and more fun now. I believe this is how we are meant to live - the natural life. So many of us just get off track.

This is one of Seth's best - an easy and accessiblee book exploring the magic power of creative thinking.
To paraphrase Seth elsewhere: the god principle (as it would come close to our god concept) is really about the urge to be. All reality is expressed intent; it is open-ended and limitless> So is our own potential, even though we may experience a limited amount of that creative freedom in our current form.
The gist then is not to worry about how it all coems to be - simply be creative and try things out. Have an adventure in life and enjoy it too, no fretting and worrying. If you believe in your own well-being then you are well and like magic, things come together. For that you need to hold onto a dash of childlike innocence and wonder.
It is one of those books I recommend to my clients and acquaintances.
If you need an intorduction to Jane or Seth read Speaking of Jane Roberts: Remembering the Author of the Seth Material, and Conversations With Seth, Book 2: 25th Anniversary Edition

I decided after hearing about the Seth books to read them this summer, one after another. It's an interesting concept--if it's true but give Jane Roberts a lot of credit none the less. I did not enjoy all the side comments/notes from Robert Butts in the books though. I found them distracting and sensed Mr. Butts had low self-esteem and wanted/needed readers to know that he was greatly involved in Jane's books. You could never get away from his comments and they are annoying. His comments are so ridiculous in light of the fact that "Seth" is suppose to be enlightening the world with profound information. And yet, here is Mr. Butts commenting on his cats jumping on and off the sofa! Mr. Butts was 10 yrs. older than Jane, and he may have found it hard to take a backseat to her ability to earn the money in the family as well as being the channel of enlightening information to the masses! I don't think his ego would have allowed him just take the dictation and let Jane/Seth get the credit. Which brings me to "The Magical Approach" which clearly proves that Jane was the creative talent behind the Seth books--because this book was put together by Mr. Butts in 1995, 11 yrs. after Jane's death! It lacks the voice that the other Seth books had and also lacked the heart. It may have been published to earn money for Mr. Butts since the Seth book sales had begun to drop off as Mr. Butts admits. I was disappointed that Mr. Butts published a book that clearly Jane Roberts had no hand in creating. Sure it may have included writings she left behind but she didn't put the book together and it shows.
Again with the channelingMarch 23, 2007 1 out of 11 found this review helpful
After reading other Seth Books I found this book not worth the price. It was rambeling and unintelligable. I found this book very difficult to make any sense of. I was disappointed as I have read other Seth books as channeled by Jane Roberts and found them very worth while. This was a real rip off by the author.
For anyone who works or plays creativelyJune 27, 2006 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
Whether or not you are familiar with Seth, or are interested in the story of Rob, Jane and Seth, this book is one of the most liberating sources on creativity today. The book is about our innate creativity and how we can use it to solve problems, work and create our life without exaggerating the pressure between the rational mind and the intuitive mind, but instead finding a way for these to co-operate. Highly recommended. Every time I read this book I get something new out of it. The best thing is that every time I read it I remember my own power of choice and creativity.
