A Glorious Journey in Our MagnificenceApril 5, 2008 I read this book while on vacation, so I read it on the airplane and a chapter each night at bedtime. The end was so exciting that I read the last 3 chapters in one sitting.
This parable so clearly shows how our choices, when made with good intentions always are for our highest good and those around us. It shows us how not to compare out spiritual growth with our fellow journeyers, because they too have their lessons.
I spent two and a half years in intense spiritual study after my divorce in 2005 and now that I am finally working and earning an exceptionally good living (which I was not able to do for years) I find that I do not have the time for the intense "study" I did during that time and have often been envious of my friends who continue to be able to do so, often because their husbaands are supporting them financially (or because they made different financial choices earlier in their lives).
This book helped me realize the many ways we learn our spiritual lessons and when we learn them in experience (normal life situations) the rewards are often greater than staying amongst our "spiritual friends" and our comfort zones. When we step out of our comfort zones, we learn even higher lessons of good.
I am now able to enjoy my brief times with my spiritual friends as times of respite and rejuvination, and bless them on their journey.
I also strongly reccommend "The Parables of Kryon" for all who enjoy this book.

and the angel spoke to me and asked me, what is it that you really want? I answered something vague and the angel spoke again, no, what is it that you really want, again I said something what I thought I wanted and again, the angel spoke, you can not escape your true nature, what is it you really want? ...and in that instant I realized what it was I had been looking for all these years. The first time I met my future in-laws, my mother-in-law showed me her deceased sons old bedroom. On his bed was this book, it was the last book he was reading. I opened it up and the first page I read gave me a feeling of being exactly where I was supposed to be in my life at that moment. I got my own book and read it. It is a very spiritual book, what this book leaves with you is more important then how great the story or plot is. Take the journey.

This fantasy novel is an easy read, but not really exciting or compelling. Written at about a 6th grade reading level, the story is somewhat simplistic, and the character development is really weak.
The strength of the novel is it's inspirational value. This is pretty typical of the Kryon material in general, which excels at inspiration, but is not exactly the rocket science of the new age.
The ending of this book is great, despite the fact that it ended exactly the way I expected it to.

I was not expecting much out of this book but once I started to read it I fell in love with it. It is one of my favorite Kryon books. I found that it relates to life and if you are on a spiritual path this is the story for you.

This book came to me at a time when I had just lost my father. This story reminded me of how we choose our paths. The story of Michael Thomas and his struggle within and his faith in God. Life is a lesson learned. This is truly a book to read with an open mind. It has humor, excitement and faith. It may even seem familiar to some. As if we have known certain things about the other side. My mother read this book, she is 74 years old, and this is her all time favorite story. I have given many people the gift of this book. I dont know one person who has not walked away changed, maybe in a small way, but a change will take place.
