Deeply Moving September 27, 2008 This book has given me such comfort in so many ways. He describes the strength others have demonstrated during their most heartbreaking and life destroying losses, and he relates how many are helped by the souls of loved ones who have passed on. It's very validating to hear that these things have happened to others because it'd be so easy for me to think that maybe my own experiences were merely wishful thinking and not really possible. I appreciate his honesty, especially when he tells us that he wants to relate a message taken from a soul sometimes, the way he percieves it, yet he is clear that he's told that he's only the instrument of relaying messages, and must speak only what he is told by the person who has passed. I know he hears some things which are deeply disturbing, yet he goes on in service to his very special field.
I'm grateful, BEYOND grateful, that he didn't give in to the people who are so shallow, who call themselves "skeptics", and turn away from his most sacred path on this earth. His writings bring us closer to an understanding that our loved ones who have passed are still with us as much as they can be, and that one day we all will get to go home to a place where all of the suffering and unprovoked cruelty we all experience here on earth, will make sense. I've learned from his writings that death is as natural as birth and in fact it is a birth, into our real home. Earth is a big classroom in reality, and death is our graduation. This book is priceless.
IT'S NOT REAL, I DON'T RECOMMEND IT April 24, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this book short after my mom died, it was a painful time, when you have this kind of loose you are lost as well, missing the person, and just assimilating everything, and you look for answers, you want to make sure if she is fine, but mostly you still want this person be with you, stay with you cause is hard to accept that this person will never be back, there is no a phone line to contact the hereafter so, I purchased this book and I even considered an appointment with Mr. Anderson (luckily in that time I was short of cash). Now that time has passed (2 years) I read again the book and it says only things that a person in this situation wanna hear, but it is not impressive, and I definitely doubt that Mr. Anderson be a real medium, I have found some testimonials about how are their sessions, actually the book talk about it as well and I find ridiculous the idea that if you go with him you only can only say YES or NO, and basically by your verbal and body language he can deduct a lot of info. A person who has lost a mother, husband or son is in a weak emotional state, I say cause I went thru already, and in a moment like that you are very vulnerable to believe things that mitigate your pain and comforts you. I believe in God, I believe in here after, there are a bunch of things that I don't understand, but I am sure the faith is the most important, it's not necesary to buy a book like this cause as I've said, I think Mr. Anderson is not a real medium, he just makes a lot of money (he charges you $1,200 dollars per 1 hour) saying the things that people wants to leasen.
This book answered so many questions for me November 25, 2007 Reading this book was such a healing experience. I have been searching for something to help me through the grieving process after losing my mother earlier this year. George Anderson addressed every one of my questions and so much more.
George Anderson is The REAL deal! September 27, 2007 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I met George Anderson, shortly following the death of my son. I flew to Long Island, NY for a chance to 'hear' from my son. I write about the encounter in Blessings in the Mire, which is here in Amazon. If you want an insider's view, get the book. There is no way he (George Anderson) could have known anything about me, or about my circumstances, or about the death of my son, my brother, and my father (they all came through to greet me in Long Island!). The process was captivating, and even had my dead relatives not come across, it still would have been an experience of a lifetime. As it was, the meeting was priceless, profound, and deeply healing. If you want to know more about my experience please check out Blessings in the Mire, as well as Walking in the Garden of Souls. As an added thought, for my trip to Long Island, I traveled with a customer who had just lost her husband. She too, received VERY PERSONAL information. She too, was impressed by the communication. Her story is also in Blessings in the Mire. Believe it, because it's true.

Have purchased several copies to give to people experiencing grief. It has always been helpful and in fact they have all passed it on to others. An incredibly wonderful book!!
