A most enjoyable and throught provoking readApril 15, 2006 26 out of 30 found this review helpful
93 I must preface this review in stating that I have been involved within the occult for most of my life, and that is a large amount of time. I have read more books than I care to admit, and I have discarded or thrown away most of them. I am a Black Magickian (I guess it is called the left hand path now). This book is very well thought out and is specifically designed to challenge ones thoughts about what they are doing, and if they actually have the intestinal fortitude to be a Black Magickian. Most books on magick use many christian godforms to protect you from what you are trying to deal with. This book takes the standard formats and changes them subtly to bring Satan/Lucifer into the presence and challenges you to have the courage to deal with these forms in a more one on one environment. Basically you are working without a net. Mr. Ford...you are to be commended for your courage in this matter, and your willingness to FINALLY put into print what has been needed for a very long time. This book is not for those who are dabblers our those weak minded individuals who want to be thought of as Black Magickians, this book will put you in the presence of very real and very powerful forces. If you are not serious about your craft then this book will make a nice addition to your collection of occult information, however, if you are willing to actually take the plunge and put your fear behind you then this book is excellent. Mr. Ford...I encourage you to put out more information on what you have learned and what you are learning. You have taken up where Crowley left off, this book will introduce you to the forces of hell if you really want to go there and not just pretend. Great book, I strongly recommend anyone who buys this book to invest the money in ALL of MR. Fords books and really get a grasp on what he has opened up for you.
Excellent ReadApril 7, 2006 13 out of 20 found this review helpful
I have not read all of this book, however, I skim through different parts of it and read those. I have found an extrememly useful book in the occult. This book is for the strong-minded, as another reviewer has said, and Luciferian Witchcraft gives a lot of useful information towards self power and development. The only thing I do not like about this book is that I cannot sit down and read it all! I got this book from Lulu, only because it was slightly cheaper than the copy here on amazon, and I didn't have a lot of money, otherwise I would have got it from amazon. Back to the book though. This book goes into different chapters. One chapter is about the historical side of Luciferianism, and the different characters in Luciferianism. (I.E. Lucifer, Lilith, Samuael, etc.) The other chapters go on to things like witchcraft, the author-goetia fits nice in here, and some ritauls, and even a sex magick chapter. I have found a lot of useful information on Witchcraft, Luciferianism, and the occult in this book, and I think that Michael Ford is a great author, and I encourage others in this field of occult to get this book! Thank you, Chaos_mage4

This author isn't writing about witchcraft on any level. This book is only about a different side of Christianity, the side of darkness. Nothing more.
It doesn't matter how many times you try to say or write it - it isn't witchcraft.

Open your mind.........November 10, 2005 23 out of 34 found this review helpful
I have to take a deep breath and think slowly before writing this review. It is difficult to stay neutral. And I will. This book promises, to any average human being, a process of self discovery (I specifically exclude the highly intellectual gurus that just know it all. The occult science is one overwhelmed by territorial bastards). Each page is blastered with information that provokes the mind without the addition of the useless technical quotations as cited by most other authors (which makes most of them comparable to a physics text). In a way the author manages to bring together many loose strings for those still on a wandering path. Whether you agree with the contents thereof or not, this book surely clarifies the side of the border you will be after reading it, and you will be able to acknowledge it. The text is definitely not for the weak-minded as it plays with the mind, sometimes in a very crude manner. The author generally warns the reader against this. What I generally like about the text is that the author only suffers from the me-me-me-syndrome when it seems that he feels proud about a personal achievement. Not like most other authors suffering from in-your-face self-deification. In a subtle way the author convinces you that he has found his truth. However, technically I would suggest a revision, which I wouldn't mind doing myself as I feel that authors get to involved with the contents of the text. In a way the technical errors does turn the text into a scribble-pad, giving it your own personal touch and claiming it yours by heart. The text therefore becomes a partner. I surely advise this book to anyone lead to it by their own Will. You will know if this is your cup o' tea just by reading the title.
