Monroe's PhilosophyMarch 21, 2002 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
Robert Monroe is the 'big daddy' of the out of body experience. This book is more about his philosophy then actual out of body travels as were his first two books. Monroe gives his 'experience' on reincarnation, meaning of life, God. He also explains why he thinks the physical realm is a type of hologram. Monroe is either actually exploring the structure of the non-physical universe as he believes or the inner structures in his own brain. Either way it's fascinating stuff.
A perfect Map for the Seeker !December 14, 2001 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I have tested many different paths and hit a lot of dead ends. Finally found a book that answered all of my questions and provided me with a step by step map on how to complete the final return to my Over Soul. I just wish I found this book when it first came out. This is the perfect book for the seeker who is ready to graduate and break way from the incarnation cycle. You are not bogged down with any type of religious dogma. You are very much on your on. This book picks up where the other ones have left you hanging and wondering what is going to happen next. Its the best of the Monroe Books !

The one that brings it all togetherAugust 28, 2001 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I've read all three of Monroe's books. Since this is the last of the three, it makes sense that this is the one that pulls all the theories together. The concepts can be complicated to follow and they follow a very unusual line of thinking! More than once I had to remind myself that I wasn't reading "fiction". However, this is essential reading for anyone interested in using his "hemi-sync" tapes: especially the Gateway Experience. This book and it's predecesors are seriously challenging my long-held notions of reality...it's a very intelligent work. I don't think I'll ever have quite the same outlook as I did before. Essential reading for anyone curious about the OBE experience and the potential of these experiences.
EXCELLENT! definitely Monroe's BEST!August 10, 2001 13 out of 15 found this review helpful
Read this book couple of years ago... and what i learned from it still guides me in my daily life, and it has reshaped my view about the Universe, about humans, about LIFE itself.. and most of all, myself. Monroe writes about his exploration in the OBE astral realm, and there are many spiritual lessons he learned. It is recommended that you read his other 2 books Far Journeys and Journeys Out of the Body as well to get the full picture. Time travelling, Space travelling in the astral world is indeed an amazing adventure. 'Far Journeys' and this book are focused on the spiritual learnings that he accummulated on his astral travels. As he states in Far Journey, the first book "Journeys Out Of the Body" was about the mechanics of the OBE experience, about the methods and his observation of this phenomena. But after a while, he got bored with exploring his immediate physical surrounds (left brain logic), OBE had become a routine. One night, he made the conscious choice to let his unconscious(right brain) take over his options, and he was transported to another phase of his OBE - his exploration out of time-space. Here he learns about his life, makes new spirit friends and learn amazing things from them, travel to the past and future, learn about life as human. An excellent exciting read!
Ultimate indeedJuly 18, 2001 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Initially, I found getting into this book very difficult and was almost at the point of putting it aside when I decided to read one more chapter. I'm glad I did as off we go on an Out of Body and Inner Self experience that I found riveting - almost rushing too quickly thru the remaining chapters. I now plan to reread this book in a few months to reinforce my understandings of Mr Monroe's message - this time at a slower pace. While not being aware of any OBE on my part, I have no doubt that others can, and do feel they experience this phenomena. Whether Mr Montroe's interpretation of this world and its' Souls is how it is - reading Mr Monroe's writings would not require the reader to have a belief in OBE to really enjoy this book.
