4 out of 5 stars This is a nice meditation   August 1, 2007

I love Dr. Wayne Dyer's work. He is so helpful and full of insite. I love this meditation book, and have found it very helpful. I love the book and CD combo. My only complaint, and it's not really a complaint, is that, at first, his meditation, was to me, a bit disruptive. When you try to meditate with him, it took me a time or too to get completely comfortable with his voice and allow it to be relaxing to me as well, but it wasn't that big of deal, just different.

I almost gave this five stars, and maybe it deserves that instead of the four I attributed to it, because I have found it a very helpful meditation (especially because I've never meditated before - it's great for beginners).

5 out of 5 stars WONDERFUL FO R MEDITATION! SOOTHING AND RELAXING!   June 21, 2007

A great mediation CD, which is why I bought this on Amazon in the first place. I own about 7 CD's by Dr. Dyer and all are wonderful. His soothing voice and thoughts are so helpful to change negative thinking into positive thinking! I would suggest Dr. Dyer's CD's, this one or any of his CD's to anyone wanting to make a positive change in their life!

5 out of 5 stars CD helped me get started with meditation   June 15, 2007
Very thankful for the enclosed CD. If you have trouble getting your mind quiet during meditation this will be very usefull to you.

2 out of 5 stars Like meditating with a lawn mower in the room.   May 28, 2007

I also tried and reviewed his Meditations for Manifesting and my thoughts on this one are pretty much the same: Just wish he'd shut the hell up! Really, this could be such a cool meditation if Wayne wasn't talking nonstop. Japa is a wonderful meditation technique with (often) wonderful results, but who the hell can focus when you've got someone yelling in your ear the whole time?! Isn't meditation all about centering yourself, going within and shutting out the outside world? Anyone have any idea how difficult that is when there is constant chatting? It's impossible! I swear, it's like trying to meditate with a lawn mower in the room! I mean, he doesn't just say "okay, now focus on the word blah-blah..." then become quiet. He goes on and on and on and on and on.... I'm not new to meditation. Occasionally, however, I enjoy a guided meditation, but not from this guy! Outside of meditation, he has some good stuff to say, but when it comes to guided meditation, he needs to throw in the towel because he's not a winner at this game. The other problem with guided meditation is that it's sort of like never taking the training wheels off your bicycle. How are you ever to learn to do it on your own? You'd think Wayne would get that.... guess not.

Again, if you can deal with his incessant, mind-numbing, incredibly loud blathering, then go for it. But be warned, you might not be able to take it for long. I certainly couldn't.

5 out of 5 stars Getting in the Gap Review   May 14, 2007

Getting in the GAP is an excellent book for a very simple HOW TO for those first time meditators or those returning from years away from the practice or for those who actively meditate every day. It's very straight forward and simple and easy as can be. The book and the CD are easy to understand and the process is spiritual and wonderful and soothing to do. It's something you can do even if you don't have a block of time to sit and meditate every day.
I think you will love this book, I sure did!!!
