Conversations with GodNovember 23, 2008 After perusing the reviews of this book I have come to the conclusion that this is more Sodom and Gomorrha filth put out by Satan and now it's against our young children. This is one more thing that we need to be aware of in order to protect our children's minds from insidious programming by the powers that be. Enough said!
Answers that our world "wants" to hear...not the Truth!November 18, 2008 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
The issue I have with this author is the obvious intent to deceive the potential readers into thinking this is based on Christian beliefs. And with young target audiences, it is very scary. This book is another "new age" individual belief system that is deceptively titled Conversations with God. It seems to support man's selfish viewpoint of tell me what I want to hear, rather than what is right. Living a life based on long-standing, steadfast beliefs is not easy in todays me-me-me world. This book is too accepting of any and all behavior and actually states there is no sin! While over 35,000 Christian religions have sprouted over the last 500 years, they have mostly been based on someone's interpretation of the Christian foundation of the Bible. Many of the "answers" provided in the book are totally opposite of what our Christian God teaches to be true. The title should at least be conversations with my god.
Life-Changing Book!November 11, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I picked this book up when I was in the middle of a conflict of the mind. I needed some guidance beyond family, friends and even religion. I learned to listen to my hidden feelings, which is my truth, to help me solve my own problems. I did not need to seek outside counsel. I knew in my heart, what my truth was.
I was reminded not to judge, and this gave me the freedom to keep going, without getting in my own way. I was left to make my own decisions, using the freedom of my own mind, and I was able to solve my life's most difficult problem, using this book.
My fears were stripped down to the bare truth, and without judgement, I was able to move past them, towards a better and more fulfilling life.
What can I say, except, that this book, changed the course of my life forever!

Someone is talking to him, that's for sureNovember 7, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
There is no doubt that someone is talking to this author, but it is not God. God does not contradict Himself. It's important to judge everything against the bible. If the content contradicts the bible--which this book does--there is something VERY wrong with it. Don't allow yourself to become confused by this author. Read your bible. Think critically.
Very Interesting BookNovember 6, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I know some of you are not religious but for those of you who are Imagine being able to ask god any question you want and he would answer back. "Conversations with God" by Neal Donald is about the conversations Neal Donald had with god. Neal was a men who went through a lot of struggles in his life including being a homeless man and searching round trash cans for food. One day he started writing his thoughts down and questions and as soon as he was done getting ready to toes his pen aside hes hand stayed posed as if he had another idea and up came; "Do you really want the answers to these questions or are you just venting?" and from there on god started talking to him and answering his questions he was told by god to make a book out of that...some people don't believe this is real but when i read it, it all fits and it all makes since and according to the book its a real life story. There is also a movie of how the book came about and its a lot more interesting then the book and its funny at the same timeI learned a lot from the book and it made me a better person. I am looking forward to reading the rest of his books.
