Witches' All by Elizabeth Pepper July 7, 2007 Very nicely presented book with a lot of historical facts. Nicely illustrated even though it is in black and white.
Wow.. June 1, 2007 This book, while not lengthy by any means still manages to be one of the best Craft books I have seen in a long time....
great introduction November 21, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is the resource for anyone wishing to take a peek into the craft. It covers most bases, from history to omens, astrology, moon magick, glossary, basic herbology etc in a volume that can be easily read in one day. It also contains some information I never read anywhere else. Real neat to have, whether "just looking" or as an addition to a large magickal library.
Excellent Resource March 8, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
For years, I have relied on the Witches Almanac for planning and reliabe information. I have never been disappointed and this compilation is no exception. The care in the work is evident and speaks for itself. I highly recommend for personal and group libraries. Put it right next to your older versions of the yearly Almanacs.
Perfect for study or Casual reading July 30, 2004 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Witches' All is a collection from the Witches' Almanac publications of the past. Arranged by topics, the book, like their popular almanacs, is thought provoking and often spur me on to a tangent that leads to even greater discovery.
The information and art in the book- astrological attributes, spells, recipies, history, facts & figures is a great reminder of the history of the Craft, not just in recent years, but in the early days of the Witchcraft Revival in this century, but as a witch in a historical and cultural perspective.
So, if you are witch like me, or even not, this compilation is informative, fun, evocative, and a great read- whether you devour it end to end as I often tempted to do, or a piece at a time, when you feel the need to be enlightened or regenerated. ANd then you'll turn back to it again...and again.
Blessed Be,
Ty Bevington Circle of the Wicker Man
