The Art of LifeOctober 9, 2008 Do not let the title fool you. This is not so much about war as it is about relationships and leadership. I am a 50 year old house wife and mother. I am also a writer and constantly searching for insights and inspirations. I inherited this copy of the book from my son when he left for college. Read a page or two a day; sometimes a paragraph will do! The words are thousands of years old but the wisdom is timeless.

"The Art of War"June 20, 2008 Great book! There are many versions of "The Art of War" but I liked this one. It includes Sun Tzu's words along with reviews/commentary from other prominent Chinese from the last 2000 years. It has a lengthy introduction but it is worthwile to read it all. This book is about strategy and information. It is easy to apply in many contemporary settings other than the military. It is a quick read and very worthwhile. This is one of those books you will want to keep and read again at a later date.

On a personal level, Sun Tzu's writings can apply to all aspects of life and it certainly has helped me. I can only imagine how effective this book is for the military...
