This book doesn't work!September 19, 2008 3 out of 34 found this review helpful
I bought this book about a month ago and I haven't lost a pound! I've been keeping it next to me when I'm sitting on the couch watching TV and when I'm eating pizza for dinner. I take it to bed with me when I need a mid afternoon nap. Still no results! There is nothing "Supercharged" about this book at all! I guess I'll thow it on the bookshelf with the rest of the diet books that didn't work. Oh well!
Waste of moneySeptember 10, 2008 6 out of 16 found this review helpful
If you already have The original South Beach diet do Not purchase this book. It is the same except for adding exercise. Waste of my money.
Simple To FollowSeptember 8, 2008 The South Beach Diet is a diet that helps you make good choices and helps you with portion control. I would recommend this book to anyone who is serious about changing eating habits to lose weight as well as eating healthier. There are plenty of new and interesting menus in this book to keep you from becoming bored with the food. It can be tweaked to just about any health issues you may have, so don't think you can use that as an excuse. Jump on board and become healthier now.
It Works!September 6, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
It's not so much the book, but the diet. The book is an easy read that answers all your questions about the diet. Also I found the exercise program very helpful. As a construction worker and a parent on the go all the time I found the meals were hard to prepare. You need to adapt to the foods allowed and not allowed group. Overall...it works. I have been on this diet for one month and have lost over 20 lbs. And I find that I am very seldom hungry.
VERY SUCCESSFUL for my very stubborn husband!September 3, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
THIS WORKED! My husband did it and lost a lot of weight (about 25 pounds, I think). The thing that impressed me is that he was able to EAT while he was on the diet. My husband LOVES FOOD. Seriously. He loves to think about food, he loves to make food, he loves to look at food and he loves to EAT. If he can do this diet and STILL ENJOY FOOD (which he did), then anyone can.
Only problem: when he doesn't stick to it, he gains weight back very quickly. It needs to be a lifestyle choice and not something that you do for just one month.
