Max Ride 3 doesn't disappoint!December 3, 2008 Having been hooked on the first 2 Maximum Ride books by my best friend, I went on to read the third and it was amazing. Mysteries are uncovered in Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports: The Voice, the true Ari, and Max's family all proved to have intrestingplot twists. My favorite part, however, is Max and the flock's sarcastic wit when they need to use attitude. Don't read in public unless you want to be stared at for laughing out loud (I don' care, but...) Maximum Ride 3 continues to show James Patterson's amazing ability to not have sequels and thirds suck in comparison to the original. I love this book!
great story, great series and great serviceNovember 25, 2008 i'm 68, still a kid...and a book lover. james patterson has written some wonderful mysteries for adults, but this series is for imaginative young folks who can see these characters in their adventures. it's a fun romp through lots of fantasy events in real places and can stand alone, but you'll want to read the first 2 books just because it's a great tale.
Buy it instead if you are a readerNovember 10, 2008 I'll admit that Patterson is cranking out a lot of titles this year but really! suggesting that books be gotten from a free source is not a review or that like others who say they read a chapter and threw it in the trash bin. What a poor attitude toward the years of craftmenship James Patterson and others have spent their whole life perfecting for your pleasure. I read all the Where the Wind Blows series and when I saw this new version of it, I couldn't wait and was not disappointed. If you like this cross-genre mix of action/thriller and fantasy, then you'll agree that Patterson is unequaled in this genre. He's always five stars, and I don't blame him for putting out as much as he can ... he's not getting any younger, folks!
non-stop fights and flightsNovember 5, 2008 My review is of the book Maximum Ride: Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports by James Patterson. This book's genre is science fiction and adventure. Maximum Ride is third book of a four part series. It is about six mutant bird kids (Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gazzy, and Angel). They were created by an evil place called the school, but not a learning school, but an evil one with evil scientist called white coats. These white coats make mutant creatures like Max and the rest of the bird kids. After many years of having to live and be tested by the white coats they finally escape but now they are back. The School is planning on killing everyone and everything that is not useful with something called the by-half plan. They are also going to kill the bird kids with the rest of the mutant creatures they created. Will Max and the rest of the bird kids survive, escape, and save the world from the school. Read Maximum Ride: Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports to find out. I really liked this book because it is full of action and adventure. This book is good for boys and girls from 5th to 8th. The first book of the series is Maximum Ride: the Angel Experiment and the second book is Maximum Ride: Schools Out Forever.
