Spiritual Astrology's breakthrough -- the startling rediscovery of the importance of the solar and lunar eclipses occurring just before one's birth -- reveals the lessons you came here to learn and teach, and provides a revelation to anyone who has ever looked to the zodiac for guidance.
My favorite astrology book of all timeMarch 3, 2008 If there is one book I recommend to learn about the astrological signs, this is the one! This is absolutely the best book that describes the signs, their strengths & pitfalls. Read it first for your Sun Sign and Moon sign. Use the Solar eclipse info as your Sun sign, and the Lunar eclipse stuff as your moon sign. You will be awed and amazed at what it tells you! Then go back, and figure out your eclipses in the back of the book, and become further amazed!
spiritual AstrologyFebruary 22, 2008 I have several books by this author, and this one is a very welcome book in my astrology library, which thanks to Amazon's prices I am building nicely, I can fully endorse anyone purchasing this book, it is full of wonderful things.

Exploring the mysteries of the prenatal eclipsesJanuary 11, 2007 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I generally like both authors of this book, but after reading it I was left with mixed feelings.
The first part, written by Jan Spiller, interprets each planet's placement through the signs and houses. Well, Jan Spiller was basically the reason I bought this book. Having read her book on the moon's nodes, "Astrology for the Soul", and being completely amazed by it, I immediately bought this one too, with no second thought. I must say though, that I was quite disappointed by her interpretations. I understand that the planets' placements are meant to be interpreted in a spiritual context, but still, what I read felt foreign to me, almost irrelevant. It's as if each interpretation focuses on one small part of what that placement could signify for the person, and ignores all the rest. I guess the fact that she separates all characteristics within each placement into "dynamic" and "static" (something like "positive" and "negative") made things worse for me, because I can't help but finding such good/bad distinctions simplistic, and ultimately rather confusing.
Anyway, the second part, written by Karen McCoy (with the contribution of Jan Spiller), interprets prenatal eclipses. And this is the real gem of the book. Prenatal eclipses are a rather neglected topic in Astrology, but they have a great significance in understanding karmic patterns and soul purpose. Karen McCoy has done a comprehensive research on the subject, and provides amazingly insightful explanations. Tables are also included, where you can find when was the last solar and lunar eclipse right before your birth, and in what sign did the eclipse occur.
So, the part on prenatal eclipses is what makes this book worth reading, in my view, and that's where all my four stars go. Highly recommended for those interested in karma and karmic Astrology.

I am an intuitive life coach... and one of the most asked questions is "What is my life's lesson or path?" This book answers this. It is a reference for my business now and the accuracy is awesome in helping one understand what it going on in their lives and what they are creating. You got questions about your life's journey... this is the book for you. You got questions on how to do it... let me know.
