Swami Rama's commentary on one of the most celebrated Upanishads. Serves as an introduction to yoga philosophy.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Good introduction and comprehensive comentary.   March 28, 2006

In this text, Swami Rama demonstrates his unsurpassable ability to relate the Upanishads to the modern day yogi. The Isha Upanishad is both the shortest and one of the most important scriptures, representing in its eighteen verses the sum total of yoga wisdom. This book introduces the reader to the philosphy of yoga, expands upon the main themes of the text, relates this scripture to the Mahabarata and Bhagavad Gita and provides a verse-by-verse comentary that is easy to understand. Of all of the commentaries that I have purchased on the Isha Upanishad, this is the one that I would most recommend.
