5 out of 5 stars Life of a Pioneer - Brigitte Lundblade Hasselblatt   October 14, 2008

I really enjoyed reading about Brigitte Lundblade-Hasselblatt's life. In a very easy to read, yet captivating style of writing it is an adventure to follow the life of this incredible woman. In the parts that repeat her story the way she told it, it is fascinating to 'hear' her, almost in a matter-of-fact-way, retelling of her story, that ranges from the beginnings of World War II and finally ends in the fulfillment of her lifelong dream to get back to Estonia to bring her religion, the Baha'i Faith, to that country of her birth. When I read about the details of her journeys I couldn't help but wonder how scared she must have been at times. But her commitment is unwavering and despite incredible difficulties (both physically and spiritually) she 'makes lemonade out of lemons'.The image that has stayed in my mind is of her with just the clothes on her back and a toothbrush in her coat pocket. She is determined to take on the world. Definitely a woman to love and admire!
