Product Description The Atlantic Paranormal Society, also known as T.A.P.S., is the brainchild of two plumbers by day, paranormal investigators by night: Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson. Their hair-raising investigations, fueled by their unique abilities and a healthy dose of scientific method, have made them the subject of a hit TV show: the SCI FI Channel's Ghost Hunters.
Now their experiences are in print for the first time, as Jason and Grant recount for us, with the help of veteran author Michael Jan Friedman, the stories of some of their most memorable investigations. The men and women of T.A.P.S. pursue ghosts and other supernatural phenomena with the most sophisticated scientific equipment available -- from thermal-imaging cameras to electromagnetic-field recorders to digital thermometers -- and the results may surprise you. Featuring both cases depicted on Ghost Hunters and earlier T.A.P.S. adventures never told before now, this funny, fascinating, frightening collection will challenge everything you thought you knew about the spirit world.
Was hoping for moreOctober 14, 2008 I am a fan of the Ghost Hunter TV show. I was hoping for more with this book but much of it is a rehash of some of their past episodes. I would have liked to have read more on the background, history, etc. Sorry Jason and Grant, hope the next one is better.
Great book, just like the show!October 12, 2008 As an avid watcher of "Ghost Hunters", "Ghost Hunting" definitely lived up to the show. Described some cases i've seen on the show as well as ones i have not. Learned some great insight about the cast of TAPS.
ghost hunting talesOctober 4, 2008 I really enjoyed this elaboration on investigations T.A.P.S. has performed, many of them the same ones seen on the sci-fi channel. Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson's personalities came through nicely and the details of the haunts really did send chills up my spine. I think I will leave the investigating,,and the book writing..to these fine experts of the paranormal. Great book!
You won't be sorry you bought this one.October 4, 2008 This is a FANTASTIC read...I couldn't put this one down until I turned over the back cover! Chalk up another success for Jason and Grant!
Big Ghost Hunters Fan Disappointed....September 24, 2008 I have been watching Ghost Hunters religiously for 2 years. I have seen many of the episodes that have aired. I was so excited about the book but had previously read some reviews that hinted the book was based on scenes from the shows. Based on that information, I waited until I could get the book from the local library. I brought the book home and showed my husband. I couldn't wait to dig into the book to get some behind the scenes stories. The first few chapters of the book were new to me and interesting. I was extremely disappointed to find a few chapters in were practically verbatim from the TV show. Almost to the point where I was going to skip over them - but decided to read in case there was some additional information added - little bits here and there but not on every case. All and all, I remain a diehard fan but hope any future books will include information that hasn't been aired on their television show. I'm glad I didn't spend the $14 on the book and read it for free!
