I just finished this book, and I agree with what this reader states:
"But perhaps most exciting is how "orb"ography has assisted people in further understanding observer-created reality, a concept in Quantum physics where we actually influence what we see and that there is really no such thing as pure objectivity."
Along with new possibilities that are being discussed in the scientific community concerning Quantum Physics and the probability of "multi-verses" and inter-dimensional phenomena, more and more people are beginning to consider and learn about a very healthy and w/holistic, newly emerging reality perspective or "paradigm" which revels a truth about our universe that helps us explain and understand the process of Life that we are all a part of: Namely, that all things are interconnected, and in this sense, we are in reality (like cells in the human body) individuals and at the same time: One.
Read this book for some basic points that just might lead you to a broader, more inclusive view of our world and our universe.
I would like to recommend this book to anyone interested in orb or spirit photography and the possible derivation of this phenomenon. It discusses all or most of the possibilities and potentials that we might be interested in, or concerned with.
I believe that this book will help validate some of our own attitudes and understandings concerning the evolution of consciousness and earth changes, and the phenomena occurring on James Gilliland's Mt. Adam's (Washington State) ranch, and in many other places.
Some descriptive keywords might be: Orb, spirit photography, transformation, UFOs, earth changes, multiple dimensions, reality perspective, consciousness, symbolism of unity, Oneness.
Personally, I especially find pages 210-211, 225, and 226-230 very interesting, enlightening, and telling...

Anyone who claims that orbs are spirits and lights are fairies and writes a book about it assumes that the reader is an idiot. Anyone who understands photography knows what an orb is and how it appears in photos; fairies are bugs. I think I will write a book of lies and make money.

AWESOME book! Soooo interesting! And I believe the writers to be totally sincere & honest about their experiences with orbs. Their accountings validate what I've been discovering in my own research & photos.

The demands of debunkers for conclusive proof of hyper-dimensional phenomena have waylaid many a paranormal researcher. In light of the paucity of tangible evidence for the existence of the beyond, we seem to be left with no alternatives other than to believe our own subjective experiences. However, in Beyond Photography, readers are provided with ample evidence of various elusive phenomena, primarily in the form of orbs and angels.
In the opening chapter, authors Katie Hall and John Pickering cite how only a few orbs appeared in their photographs at first but, over time, became more profuse. Once they realized they were tapping into an unknown realm and maintained receptivity towards the phenomena, it was as if an interdimensional floodgate opened up for them, enabling them to provide an amazing array of proof for both orbs and angels. Most noteworthy is that the photos were all taken with digital cameras that had various levels of memory capacity, which suggests that there may be an interface opening up between new technologies (digital cameras) and hidden dimensions.
But perhaps most exciting is how "orb"ography has assisted people in further understanding observer-created reality, a concept in Quantum physics where we actually influence what we see and that there is really no such thing as pure objectivity.
While skeptics will squawk that the anomalies captured on film result from lens distortion, solar refractions, or dust, the authors are careful to try a variety of techniques to sufficiently demonstrate that this is not always the case. Regardless of what is said, the potentials of this nascent artform are nothing short of profound. In light of these potential applications, Beyond Photography should be considered as a gateway into a wondrous world that has been far too long ignored.

The photos were wonderful and there were many. However the text rambles on and on covering so many "related" subjects (The Symbology of Orbs, dolphins, meteors, the Bible) that it can be a bit maddening. I question the way they circled around to some of the conclusions they came to as well. For example: "Does the fact that the majority of orbs and luminosities appear in places and circumstances that have no direct association with the dead suggest that they probably are not, in that context, exclusively spirit phenomena? Answer: Yes."
So in conclusion,regarding orbs and "luminosities", this is part of what they had to say: "What They are Not: They are NOT aliens, spirits of the dead, sprites, spirits of trees or faeries, though at times they have assumed all these forms; not to deliberately deceive us, but, we believe, to communicate. Very much like dolphins may mimic our behavior; these entities empathize with us as individuals and to some extent may reflect our individual beliefs."
"What They Are" covered a page and a half and ended with, "If the Earth has a consciousness; and the luminosities are part of, or connected to it; then at times some humans may witness what is the equivalent, in planetary terms, to the electro-chemical activity of the mind."
