Magnificent exploration and articulationOctober 28, 2008 This well-written book is a magnificent exploration and articulation of the christ meme in our history with an especially significant focus on Melek T'aus (the Peacock Angel) of the Yezidi culture.

For many years I have searched for the answers starting from the origins of our ancestors to present day philosophy and I explored the concepts of many religions which reflected only pieces of a very large puzzle.After reading Mark Amaru Pinkham's book I wished that I could have traveled to the many places in this world that he traveled seeking the knowledge and answers of the wisdom of the ages. My search for the PEACOCK ANGEL started last year after I had a dream that I visited the Deity in His/Her abode.I had no explaination for the many dream images prior to that complete vision other than the fact that in retrospect I now look at it as an omen directing me to my path of wisdom and enlightenement. THE TRUTH BEHIND THE CHRIST MYTH and THE REDEMPTION OF THE PEACOCK ANGEL very clearly explains the interconnectedness of our universe and our connection inwardly through meditation and spiritual recognition through symbology and time's record.The Trinity of the Cosmic Fire illuminates our souls in all life forms.God's name is AUM. This is a must read for anyone who is seeking the truth and is on a spiritual quest.I give this wonderful book and I thank the adventurous and insightful author with five stars for the informative and easy to read text that is direct and right to the point.I love this book and Hail to the Peacock Angel in all His/Her glory. The Truth Behind The Christ Myth: The Redemption Of The Peacock Angel by Mark Amaru Pinkham, offers the original, iconoclastic hypothesis that the origins of belief in Jesus Christ lie in a Son of God myth from India concerning Murrugan, the Peacock angel. Numerous similarities in the belief are historically traced, as well as other circumstantial evidence that Murrugan's legend influenced the story told and believed by the first Christians. Pinkham goes even further to provocatively propose that the Peacock angel is indeed a real entity, and is known under other names in different cultures -- perhaps even by the stigmatized name "Lucifer" in the West, though his ultimate role is surely far different from the unmitigated wickedness that Western tradition has been known to ascribe the chief of the fallen angels. A welcome and original contribution to metaphysical studies, The Truth Behind The Christ Myth is an iconoclastic, and highly recommended study blending historical evidence and new age thinking.
