Product Description
Discover the truth about the Knights Templar and find out how this enigmatic order of warrior monks can help to uncover the secret story of the Holy Grail. This compelling historical work charts the Knight’s achievements in a remarkable range of endeavors, from building castles and cathedrals to laying the foundations of the modern marketplace. It uncovers the link between the Rex Deus families and the creation and propagation of the Grail sagas, as well as the later foundation of the Secret Society of Freemasonry. Building a historical framework for the development of Christianity during the last years of the Roman Empire, and the Dark Ages that followed, has never been so captivating.

Dry and Biased August 8, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Author seems to have a major issue with the Catholic Church. I would have preferred the facts instead of a biased approach.
Knights of the Holy Grail August 1, 2008 More information then I expected. I feel it was well organized and well written. If you are interested in the Knights Templar and their history it is well worth the price. It also explains the Religious pressures durning the time frame. I was well pleased when I was finished.
Lots of Substance June 22, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The book is founded on in-depth analyses and meticulous historical research. One particular passage seized my attention in its analogy between Islam, Christianity and the early development of the Orthodox Church. The socio-historical approach is convincing, despite avant-garde theories of the author.
One of the best books I have read on the Templars. Totally unbiased.
Conspiracy Collection June 12, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Another in the series of conspiracy theories surrounding the Templars, Jesus and "The Church". Footnotes or references are to opinion articles and other "research" principally based on coincidences that often turn out to be misrepresentations of the facts. Interesting read only because it fleshes out the theories surrounding Jesus and the conflict between believers in the "true teachings" and "The Church".
Heresy- "an opinion held by a minority of men which the majority declares unacceptable and is powerful enough to punish." March 20, 2008 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Tim Wallace-Murphy has written an excellent history that shows how Christians,Jews and Muslims, who all believe in the same God ,have had such great difficulties in dealing with one another in the areas of Brotherhood,Tolerance,Justice and Peace. Throughout the ages, there have been an unbelievable number of organizations emerge, disappear and endure, which make it near to impossible to sort it all out;especially in one short book,;but this author has made a pretty good attempt at it.
There have been literally thousands of books on the subjects covered in this book;but if one is looking for a well organized overview ,you would be hard pressed to find one any better. However;don't think that when you finally finish this book ;that you will be able to sort all the truth from fiction, legend and outright error;forget it.It is all so involved, and complicated that it has been studied and investigated by many thousands of researchers for many hundreds of years. I have read many books on the Middle Ages, and the Knights Templar in particular ;as well as the origins of organizations of today;and this book adds a lot to my understanding of it all.
