Product Description Dictated to a friend in the months leading up to his death in December 1992, Bernard Lievegoed considered this book his last spiritual testament, having struggled with the themes for over sixty years. In a very personal, intimate way, Lievegoed shares his thoughts about three spiritual streams in human evolution led by three individuals: Rudolf Steiner, Christian Rosenkreutz, and Manu. He courageously explores their karmic connections and past lives, shedding light on how these spiritual streams are active today. The last chapter is a sobering look at the strategy of the opposing powers and Lievegoed's intimations about the spiritual challenges we will face in the immediate future.

Seeds and thoughtsJune 13, 2000 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
Lievegoed final work is so well crafted that you read it as you would a good novel. His insight into the spiritual comes from a lifetime of exaustive work in Anthroposophy coupled with a wit and levity seldom seen in other Anthroposophical authors. Each day he covers a topic too big to fit into one book, but he finds the a way to condense such huge ideas into an incredibly concise book that lays seeds for future work. You can almost see his expression of impish joy as he gently nudges the reader into viewing the spiritual worlds that he has worked his whole life to open. He at one point comments, it is time to sow not to reap. If so, he leaves the reader in a fertile field as well as a well stocked grainery for future farmers.
