Crop Circles---Signs, Wonders and Mysteries, by Steve and Karen AlexanderOctober 1, 2008 This is a wonderful book--well documented--lots of beautiful pictures of the crop circles. The book is inspiring and uplifting and I feel a sense of heightened spiritual energy just looking at the pictures. There is a saying from Rumi that I was reminded of after reading the book:
"We are departing for the skies--- Who has a mind for sight-seeing?
Peace and Blessings, Diana Anderson
Excellent crop circle bookSeptember 12, 2008 Steve and Karen Alexander have done an excellent job in this book explaining the many aspects of the mysterious phenomenon of crop circles that appear every summer in southern England. The book is beautifully illustrated with aerial photos of the crop circle formations in all their majesty. A must read for all crop circle enthusiasts as well as any newcomers to this phenomenon.

Even if the mystery of crop circles is never answered conclusively,they will leave an enduring impact on those who observe them.August 6, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is an excellent look at the Signs,Wonders and Mysteries of Crop Circles. It does not go to any depth in trying to determine how they were made or by whom.To the authors ,the mysteries associated with how they came to be is very much part of their fascination. Whether or not it is ever conclusively proven who made them is beside the point. The book has over 200 excellent color photographs of Crop Circles as well as many other diagrams and illustrations. The authors delve into the meanings represented by the circles as they relate to Mathematics and particularly Geometry. To them ,they see great mystical meanings and a fascinating art form.
The Crop Circles include;
Sacred geometry and Number
Sacred Space
Labyrinths,Mazes and Puzzles
Knots,Ropes and Ribbons
Life Forms
Mysticism,Mythology and Mandalas
The Fractals
and,
Signs and Wonders
While there are people like Doug Bower and David Chorley who admit to making over 255 Crop Circles;there are many that nobody has been able to determine who ,or how they were made.Many have other unexplainable physical characteristics as well. Back on November 28,2003 ;I wrote a review on "Sacred Geometry" by Miranda Lundy and much of the geometry we see in these Crop Circles is explained there as well. The book gives detailed references for anyone who wants to pursue Crop Circles further, and much as with UFO's, the mystery continues ,and there is also an ample supply of Web sites where you can turn to to see all that is going on about this fascinating phenomna.
You may want to check the reviews for "Round in Circles" by Jim Schnabel, who claims in his book to have resolved the mysteries of who is making these Crop Circles.

On the basis of the color plates alone, this book is worth the price of purchase--a great and eye-catching addition to your coffee table. But it's also an informative chronology of the phenomenon. Other books may delve deeper into the scientific and geometric aspects, but none that I've seen compare with the visual impact of this one. If you're looking to view the crop circles from the comfort of your living room, this is the book for you.
