Product Description Lots of people talk about the aura and its components. But how many actually see it? If you don't see the aura, do you want to? Then you need to get Aura Reading for Beginners by Richard Webster.
This book gives you the basics you need to know to see the aura and discover the meanings of the colors it contains. It begins with a discussion of what the aura is, followed by the surprising information that the best way to begin is not to attempt to see the aura, but to feel it. Several techniques are given for this. Next you learn how to see the basic aura, in yourself and others. Finally, you will learn how to interpret the colors you will eventually see.
But once you have this skill there is much more you can do than merely see colors around people! You will discover that the many colors of the aura can indicate everything from emotional problems to physical ailments that have not yet manifested. You can deal with these problems by balancing the energies of the aura. This book shows you how to do it in several ways. Besides using your own energies, you can also work with food and drink. Some have natural colors (red foods include meat and peppers, for example), but you can also charge neutral water with any color. You will also learn what music can be used to effect the aura.
The aura interrelates with every aspect of your life. It only makes sense that if you change your aura you can improve yourself. Indeed, this book gives instructions on how to do this. The book shows how you can learn the health of your chakras with the help of the pendulum or through meditation. You'll also learn how to use magnets to alter your aura. This can especially aid in the development of clairvoyant skills. Finally, you'll learn how to give readings on the aura for yourself and others.
This is the book you will need to begin working with the aura.

Webster makes aura reading ACCESSIBLEMay 31, 2005 19 out of 19 found this review helpful
I found Webster's "Aura Reading for Beginners" informative without being overwhelming. Since I'm a beginner at reading auras, this book provided me with the tools to get started. It was presented in a matter-of-fact tone and had very clear instructions. The author goes through step by step how to start seeing your own aura and others' auras, then he progresses to seeing ground and radiant colors of the aura. There's also a section on aura clearing using various methods.
I've been trying to get started in taking the alternative path, but many of the books I've come across were either obscure or provided an overload of information. Webster makes aura reading accessible. My only suggestion to Webster would be to include in the next printing the types of music recommended for all chakras rather than just the first chakra. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone learning how to read auras.
It got me going on aura reading when other books failedOctober 26, 2001 22 out of 22 found this review helpful
This book gave drills on how to TOUCH and feel and aura that worked well for me. I found I could really percieve this. It also explained the various layers of the aura, and I was surprised in this that I have always been able to see one part - the spiritual aura - as sort of a glow. I thought I wasn't really seeing auras because I couldn't see colors! Ater reading the book, I walked around malls and other places to look at people. Out of all those people, I succeeded in seeing only TWO auras. A man with a yellow aura, and a woman with a pink one. That's not much, but it's a start.
There was stuff in there about numerology that did not work for me. According to Kirlian photograhpy I have an indigo aura. According to numerology, I have a gold aura. Shucks. Gold is prettier!
I got the book from a library, and am considering purchasing a copy for myself because I found the information about the various colors was sufficiently useful to become a reference.
It works, but...July 23, 2001 3 out of 33 found this review helpful
Yes, the tips in this book DO help you to see auras. Let me make it easy for you. Cross your eyes for a second and look above someones head. Tah Dah!! Is that an aura? Okay, let's say it is.
My issue with the book is that it also presented other "paranormal" actives which have been disproved, as fact. ie. dowsing.
Do yourself a favor. Before reading/buying this book read something by The Amazing Randy.
Not as good as Smith's bookJanuary 27, 1999 7 out of 10 found this review helpful
If you really want a failsafe way to see the aura, I recommend Mark Smith's book "Auras- See Them In Just 60 Seconds". It's also on Llewellyn, and is more entertaining as well. Webster's book isn't bad, it's just not in the same class as Smith's.
