A highly recommended spirituality and culture readOctober 7, 2008 Left unspoiled by the outside world, cultures develop their own belief systems and medicine. Knowledgeably compiled and expertly edited by Nancy Color, "Shamans of the World: Extraordinary First-Person Accounts of Healings, Mysteries, and Miracles" offers an inherently fascinating look at folk religions around the world. Shaman's of the WorldJuly 17, 2008 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
A wonderful opportunity to learn from some of the most gifted healers of the world without having to travel to Africa, Bali, etc. I loved how open they were to sharing their wisdom. The authors did a beautiful job of "stepping out of the way" and letting the shaman's and their ancestor's speak for themselves. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for an introduction into another way of seeing the world, healing, and the Divine.
